- UW Astronomy Department Open House, April 2006. Helped kids decorate cookies with icing to resemble Solar System planets.
- From Disks to Planets, Seattle, November 2005. Public talk at UW's Theodor Jacobsen Observatory.
- A New Way to Make Planets. Spring 2005. Article written for UW's Astrobiology Newsletter.
- Women in Science Camp-In at the Pacific Science Center,
Seattle, February 2005. Conducted the How To Make Your Own Comet presentation and workshop to girl scouts.
- Science Olympiad, Bloomington, March 2000 to 2003.
Composed and graded part of the astronomy test for the Indiana Science Olympiad tournament finals.
- Indiana University Astronomy and Physics Open Houses,
Bloomington, October 1996 to 2003. Setup fun experiments, workshops, and talks aimed to promote college enrollment in astronomy and physics. Held once a year.
- Kirkwood Observatory Open Houses, Bloomington,
1996 to 2003. Conducted public nights at the Indiana University campus observatory about once a month.
- Girls' Math, Science and Technology Conferences,
Indianapolis, March 1999 and 2000. Gave 30 minute-long workshops to groups of high school girls to interest them in science as their future professional career.
- Light as Information astronomy talk for gifted and talented 7th graders, Sycamore School, Indianapolis, October 1999.
